Velocity Gaming and Revenant Esports will provide the neutrals with a spectacle on the inaugural day of RE: IGNITE CSGO powered by FanClash. The two organisations will be looking to gain an early upper hand in this Round Robin format that will last for 5 days with each team playing 4 matches each.

The Teams

Teams

For Velocity, their organisation manager Adarsh “Euphoria” Singh headlines the squad. The Kolkata-based star has deep roots in CSGO, having started his streaming journey with the game and also doing a lot of self-created events in the game during the covid season. Fa2, TbOne and Rakazone are all players that have been part of the csgo ecosystem before VALORANT arrived and will be looking to show they aren’t rusty one bit. Rounding out their active roster is organisation owner Manoj “Sentinel” Kasyap, who, even though has not played a lot of csgo, has been a regular competitor in csgo’s predecessor, Counter-Strike 1.6.

As far as Revenant Esports is concerned, they are easily the favourites going into RE: IGNITE CSGO, with their roster filled with former csgo professionals. A legend of the Indian Esports scene in general, Tejas “rite2ace” Sawant headlines the roster after his recent switch to Revenant. The likes of BadLove, Whimp, Blackhawk, and Paradox are all players who competed regularly in csgo and have a handful of accolades to show for their efforts.

MVP Candidate

We are going with Revenant stars as our preference for the fixture, owing to the said team being clear favourites from the get-go. Paradox would be a go-to choice for Captain for this game. The former 2ez gaming star has time and again shown that he hasn’t lost his csgo touch despite venturing into VALORANT and will be keen to prove his multifaceted talent once again. A good choice for vice-captain or multiples, in general, would be rite2ace.

Writer’s Squad

EXPERT SQUAD

Three Revenant players are a must if you want to have any chance of getting into the top places since I am expecting this game to be close to a blowout. So, having three Revenant players will allow you to maximize the points gained through the Rounds Not Played bonus and Match Sweep Bonus.

Paradox and rite2ace are guaranteed picks in my team from Revenant while Euphoria would be my go-to pick from Velocity. As far as the second player from Velocity is concerned, it will be a toss-up between fa2 and TbOne. I am going with fa2 as the second player in my squad. Blackhawk completes my FanClash fantasy squad for the match, with Paradox and rite2ace as my captain and vice-captain respectively.

Summary

You should focus on Paradox and Euphoria as guaranteed picks from each team. Coming down to a combination, three players from Revenant would be the preferred choice, with rite2ace a good option. As far as the second Velocity player is concerned, we would encourage you to make different teams with fa2 in one and TbOne in the other. As far as the final player is concerned, you can make multiple teams with different Revenant players to increase your chances of winning.

You can make different squads and/or combinations of the same squad to maximize your chances of winning the event. Another way to optimize your chances of winning the event is to use up as much of the 40 team slots available to each user.

Now that we have equipped you with the relevant information regarding the match between Velocity and Revenant, it is time to put your thinking cap on and build the best team(s) for the event.
